Gold Joe is a leader of the Galactic Superhero Corps, No. 9 in the Galactic Ranking, and a boss in No More Heroes III.

Gold Joe appears in the form of a gold robot-like alien with six limbs held by magnetic fields. He has a mouth-like visor built into his golden spiky head that glows red-and-blue. Multiple diamond-shaped engravings on his chest that functioned similarly

Despite being involved in a lot of horrible crimes, Gold Joe has very comical personality. He often expresses shock in a goofy, slapstick manner offering loud exclamations like "snap", "crackle", "pippity-pop". Like most members of Galactic Superhero Corps, he looks down on humans and considers himself as of a superior species, but he still acknowledges people's skills and potential.

He is also very loyal to FU as he was the one who broke out the psychotic manchild out of his prison. This loyalty is further seen where he gifts his lord with illegal rare ores.

Gold Joe's comically arrogant attitude changes into a pretentious charisma when interacting with Lord FU, whom he would constantly flush with compliments and presents. Gold Joe's family has served the Baptise royal family for around 23,700 years. He obviously is trying desperately to get into FU's favor, but when Travis meets Joe, he wouldn't even mention his boss. Their relationship is clearly founded on  power relations, although FU still shows a type of distanced respect towards him.

Gold Joe has the ability to fly and move his four, disembodied arms as he pleases, presumably due to a control of magnetism. It is unknown if this magnetism is a result of his race, a tool or perhaps exposure to the many space ores he has been exposed to. He also seems to be robotic in nature, and is able to continue to live with no signs of pain, even when cut in half at the abdomen. It also seems that he can store objects inside his body.

He is also a skilled if-somewhat unorthodox swordsman, as he wielded four culb-like swords in battle.

When FU's ship arrives on earth, Gold Joe is among his group that meets Damon on the Damon tower roof. He silently watches the events unfold. Gold Joe also stands guard during Damon's board meeting and while FU announces his open challenge.

Later, Gold Joe answers a call from FU, where he is told to Kill Travis, to which Joe expresses great joy in being trusted with such a task, even offering to place all credit on FU. He offers FU a Shard of Galactica Rolling Thunder Rainbow as a gift.

Before his battle with Travis, Joe meets with FU on a rooftop in a Film noire style scene, where he mentions his Family has served FU's family for about 23,700 years. FU offers him a cup of bubble tea (or at least it's implied that's what it is), which Joe enjoys. When FU refers to Joe as his friend, Joe expresses how honored he is and claims he will give his life for FU, to which FU insists life isn't something one should give away.

Eventually, Travis meets Joe is his spaceship, which Joe has prepared an arena inside made of floating stone cubes and pink electrical borders seemlingly in space, which he calls 'hyper-modern artwork'. When Travis immediately recognizes the technique as projection mapping, Joe admits he's impressed with how advanced humans are in art. After being critisized by Travis about wasting money on the 'art' and Travis correctly guessing that Joe uses magnets, Travis suggests that Joe use letters and colours to denote "slightly puzzle-ish" attacks, Joe claim's he'll try to do so, and the two fight.

Eventually, Joe is cut into three, where some space ore falls from his torso. Travis calls him out on his practices, to which Joe suggests travis not touch the ore, as it is very dangerous, to which Travis sticks the ore on the end of his beam katana and begins to beat Joe repeatedly, all while Joe breaks down claiming he was double crossed and framed. Eventually Travis pierces the ore with his katana through Joe's head, killing him.

Afterwards, Sylvia arrives with Weller and Talbot who begin cremating Joe's body.
