The Cross Sword, also known as Vosmir, is a fictional weapon in the 2007 video game No More Heroes. It is a Beam Katana model constructed by the Russian technician Wolf Vann, and wielded by Travis Touchdown's older twin brother, Henry Cooldown. When activated, four stubby beams are emitted from where the guard would be, had one been incorporated in its design. As such, there is nothing to prevent the user's hand from sliding up onto their own blade. While similar to the Tsubaki series, the Cross Sword does not feature an extractable frame and is one of the only recognized beam katanas to emit properly without a receiver, another being the Tsubaki Mk-III. The weapon has the ability to create a swarm of floating, orb-shaped energy projectiles, which can be directed with the sword itself.
In No More Heroes III, Henry wields a pair of Cross Swords which he dubs his "Cursed Crucifix Blade[s]." Their beams are capable of extending in length like Travis's Blood Berry. When Henry enters Barrage Mode, the color of the blades change from purple to emerald green, and they also a host of new abilities. They can unleash blade-like projectiles from powerful swings, summon multiple rings of spinning sword pillars when stabbed into the ground, and can extend even further than could previously, granting them incredible range.
